The temperature outside had dropped a little, which was good for the horses’ well-being, but the atmosphere was hot and electric from the start of this third evening with the demonstration of the sumptuous ASTERIX DI TALEFRA Z, who raised the bids to €44,000.

We came close to a slam with 29 of the 31 auctions completed.

The top price of the three-year-olds went to the very beautiful, very well-born and very good LITCHI DE KREISKER who will remain in France, at the Domaine des Dodos stables, the author of several other purchases this week.

Although foreign buyers were present, both in the hall and on the internet, it was the French professionals who were the most active. In doing so, they rewarded the selection work of the Fences associates, who last night offered a homogeneous lot of very high quality.

It was the son of ZIROCCO BLUE out of the KERGLEN line that topped the foal prices at €26,000.

There is still one evening of Elite Sales left to establish the financial results of this 36th edition, and rumours in the corridors point to spectacular jumpers for which record bids are expected.

See you at 11am for the rehearsal of Sunday evening’s Service auctions and from 7.30pm for the final bouquet of the Elite Auction.
